What we believe

God

There is one God, Creator of the universe, who is infinitely perfect and eternally exists as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, being both fully man and fully God.  He was sent by the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of the world, and was resurrected from the dead three days later.  He is now ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will personally and visible return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit and his present and ongoing ministry in the world.  It is the Spirit that convicts the world of sin, instructs the conscience, gives wisdom and power to live a godly life, and testifies to salvation through Jesus Christ.

Humanity

We believe humanity is created in the image and likeness of God and retain inherent worth as God’s image bearers. We also believe that through Adam and Eve’s sin, humanity has a radical propensity to sin and is utterly unable to remedy our lost condition without the grace of God.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gracious gift from God and only comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone.  We further believe salvation results in a spiritual regeneration that results in righteous living, good works and culminates in everlasting life.

The Church

We believe the church consists of all those who believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, who is the head of the Church, serves immediately as priest and ministers directly as teacher, prophet, and King through the Holy Spirit.

Scripture

The Bible (Old and New Testament) was inspired by God’s Spirit and composed by human authors and constitutes the authoritative revelation of God’s truth to humanity. It is wholly true, trustworthy, and authoritative in all that it affirms.

Last things

There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is near and when he returns he will personal and visible to all.
